Braun Limousin Farms

At Braun Limousin Farms, cattle is our business and our bread maker. We do raise wheat and grain sorghum, but our main interest is in our cattle. Our goal has been to produce top-quality Limousin bulls and females for 30 years.

The cattle we produce are purebred Limousin and Lim-Flex — not only do they have good EPDs and a great family history, but they must be able to perform and produce in the commercial world.

Our philosophy is that all seedstock producers should be focusing on what will work for the commercial man in the real world.

In order to provide you with genetically superior individuals, we have emphasized functional cattle for the industry, paying close attention to the traits we appreciate in mother cows. It takes a superior mother cow to produce a superior bull or replacement heifer. In our cowherd, traits like fleshing ability, sound udders, correct feet and legs, longevity and docility are important to us, selecting for a balance of traits is a top priority. At the same time, we all need to keep in mind that the end product for all of us is what the consumer demands every time they select beef to feed to their families-- tender, tasty, safe and wholesome, lean beef.
